Hoshu Washin is a giant, continental nation,

home to both humans and yokai alike.
The four clans of Totsuki, Mikadoin, Oshitari, and Yakujo
have survived the test of time and now rule each of its four territories independently.

The four clans have historically been allies that come together to save their nation from Yokai threats, maintaining peace without dispute or conflict.

But one day, mysterious beings in Oni Masks appear before the Totsuki clan and attack the clan's acting ruler.

The ruler's son and next in line to lead the Totsuki clan, Kenshiro Totsuki, gives chase to the assailants with the help of his faithful retainer, Tatsuto Sekimizu.
